Gov. Sisolak cancels in-person press conference, will update Nevadans via recorded video

Oh come on now!! Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak canceled his in-person press conference scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday after possible exposure to COVID-19, he announced on Twitter.
Gov. Sisolak said he plans to update Nevadans on Tuesday night via a recorded video.
"Late last week, I visited a work place where an employee, who was not in the building at time, has since reported testing positive for COVID19. My Office learned of the positive test result on Tuesday," Sisolak said on Twitter.
The time of the video's release is not yet known.
ORIGINAL REPORT: LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- Governor Sisolak on Friday announced he will hold a news conference next Tuesday, May 26 to discuss Phase 2 of Nevada's "Roadmap to Recovery."
The Phase 2 announcement will take place in Carson City from the Nevada State Legislature building. Governor Sisolak is expected to make his remarks around 5:30 p.m. on May 26. Tuesday's press conference will be live streamed at leg.state.nv.us.
Saturday marks two weeks since Phase 1 began. Since that time, according to Gov. Sisolak, the LEAP and the governor's office have been monitoring the first phase of reopening, analyzing data trends and evaluating potential plans for Phase 2.
If Nevada's COVID-19 data continues to reflect positive or consistent trends through the Memorial Day weekend, Gov. Sisolak said he will announce a Phase 2 reopening date during Tuesday's news conference, along with business reopening and statewide continuing operation guidelines.
Sisolak In addition, Gov. Sisolak notes that the Nevada Gaming Control Board will be holding an informal workshop Tuesday where state and local health and safety officers will provide an update regarding COVID-19 response measures at resort hotels. After presentations, Sisolak says the board will consider any action necessary with regard to reopening plans. Gaming properties are required to submit reopening plans to the Board for approval seven days before reopening, Sisolak noted.
Pending the evaluation of trends in Nevada's COVID-19 data along with the results of the Gaming Control Board meeting Tuesday, the governor has set a target date of June 4 for reopening Nevada's gaming industry.

PLAYBOY INTERVIEW: DONALD TRUMP
a candid conversation with the decade's most flamboyant billionaire
on deal making, self-promotion, world affairs and how much is enough
Donald Trump sits alone. He hasn't slept in 48 hours.
At six A.M., perched high, in the bronze-coated jewel of his empire, Trump Tower; he is bent over a mammoth Brazilian-rosewood desk, scrutinizing spread sheets.
No insomnia, no growing worries.
"Pressure," lie surmises, sipping an iced Coke, "doesn't upset my sleep,'' a standard four hours nightly.
"I like throwing balls into the air— and I dream like a baby."
Three hours later, blond hair marshaled, he announces, with standard chutzpah, his seven-and-a-half billion dollar bid to gobble down the nation's premiere airline, American. On the strength of his $120-a-share bid, the stock vaults from $16 to $99.The 43-year-old billionaire, who owns huge blocks of American Airlines stock ,smiles broadly.
A week later, with the market lumbling190 points, he withdraws his offer, perhaps temporarily. Despite some reports that insinuated his American raid was only cardboard, a poly to rattle up his stock, Trump stares into space:
"Nope, I want it."
Yup, If it's the best, and it's for sale, Donald Trump's stomach begins to growl.
He captured troubled Saudi financier Adnan Khashoggi's onyx-and-gold-plated yacht for a mere $29,000,000—now it's worth $100,000,000. Then he bought the Eastern shuttle for $365,000,000 and transformed it overnight into the Trump Shuttle, complete with comfortable cabins and stewardesses rustling in virgin wool and pearls.
A year earlier, he had bought the Plaza Hotel for $400,000,000 and is now lovingly restoring her without a name change. Her make-over will be surprised by the Czech mistress of Trump's kingdom, Ivana, a former Olympic skier and fashion model.
At home, Ivana presides over a 100-room Trump Tower triplex, recently expanded from 50 rooms ("Better closet space, "she jokes). Trump proud of the salmon-marbled atrium of Trump Tower, where no expense was spared, says, "I bought the whole damn mountain! You've never seen that color before. Ivana suggested it because it makes people look better."
The couple also has a 47-room country house on ten acres in Greenwich, Connecticut, and the well-publicized 118-room Mar-a-Lago Marjorie Merriweather Post estate in Palm Beach, their commute time shortened by the 727 jet and the French-made military Puma helicopter.
The Trump Princess, or the Khashoggi" boat", as Trump now calls it, has gotten cramped, so a Dutch shipyard is confecting not a Princess but a full-fledged Queen costing more than $175,000,000.
Such ostentation, despite a catalog of charities and good deeds done for sick kids, has predictably yielded a rich crop of snipers. Spy magazine, the New York-based humor monthly, cheerfully carries a scabrous vendetta against the Trumps, comparing them to Dickension monsters. Time did s cover story on the decay of Atlantic City and chided Trump for helping create a crime-plagued urban blight divided between welfare cases and high rollers. On the upper West Side, Manhattanites attack him for his proclaimed desire to build an enormous complex, Trump City, complete with a 150-story skyscraper; Phil Donahue charges that Trump’s casinos pillage the gullible; an aide close to outgoing mayor Ed Koch calls Trump ”the most arrogant s.o.b who has ever stepped onto the earth.
Ah, well, To be young, blond and a billionaire.
It doesn’t seem to matter. The most daunting entrepreneur since the Astors, Vanderbilts and Whitneys, Donald John Trump has made his ”art of the deal” work—not just for making money but for crushing adversaries, too.
Case in point: Merv Griffin. Ten months after Griffin bought Trump’s Resorts International Inc for $365,000,000, for which Trump had paid $101,000,000 the year before, Griffin found himself holding a busted balloon. Not only had he inherited the hotel-casino’s $925,000,000 debt but he embarrassingly had to report first-half losses of $46,600,000. There’s now talk of a possible bankruptcy for Merv and a possible lawsuit against Trump.
Looking beyond his one-billion-dollar Taj Mahal opening in Atlantic City next month, Trump has plenty to consider. There are tumors of his building casinos in Nevada and his buying Tiffany’s, NBC, the New York Daily News or the Waldorf Hotel (“I’ve got to have the Waldorf,” he coos jokingly into the phone. ”I can’t sleep without it”).And the Presidency ?No, that takes an election, and it is clear that Trump is not that patient. Too much to do!
“There has always been a display of wealth and always will be, until the depression comes, which it always does. And let me tell you, a display is a good thing. It shows people that you can be successful.”
“炫富一直存在,也总会出现,直到大萧条来临,大萧条也一直都有。”让我告诉你,炫富是件好事。它人们展示你可以成功。”
“We Americans are laughed at around the world for defending wealthy nations for nothing, nations that would be wiped out in about fifteen minutes if it weren’t for us. Our “allies” are making billions screwing us.”
“我们美国人因为毫无意义地保卫一些富裕的国家而被全世界嘲笑,如果不是我们,这些国家在15分钟内就会灭亡。我们的“盟友”正从我们身上赚取数十亿。
“I’ve always thought the ultimate job for me would have been running MGM in the Thirties and Forties. There was incredible glamour and style that’s gone now. And that’s when you could control situations.”
“我一直认为,对我来说,最佳的工作应该是在三四十年代经营米高梅。那些令人难以置信的魅力和风格现在已经逝去了。那个时候你可以控制整个局面。”
The billion-dollar baby was born in the exclusive Jamaica Estates in Queens, New York, on June 14,1946, to a mere millionaire, real-estate developer Fred Trump, who had racked up his $20,000,000 fortune building low-to-middle-priced homes and apartments in Brooklyn and Queens.
Among the five little Trumps, only Donald seemed to have a passion for mortar and bricks, riding around construction sites with his father—“who ruled all of us with a steel will”—and showing younger brother Robert, now a low-profile V.P. in the Trump organization, who was boss in their 23-room house.
At the age of eight, little Donald borrowed Robert’s cherished toy blocks, glued them together into one giant skyscraper and never returned them, thereafter exercising his fantasies about changing Manhattan’s skyline.
His father, who harped on the importance of ”knowing how to make a buck,” regarded mop-haired Donald as “rough and wild,” shipped him off to the New York Military Academy in Cornwall-on-Hudson and, some say, forever instilled in him a gnawing sense of inadequacy that fueled the boy’s ambition. There followed two years at Fordham and two years at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance, then a few years diddling in middle-income housing until, at the age of 28, Trump delivered the punch that launched him. Taking a hard look at Manhattan’s troubled fortunes, he fastened onto the bankruptcy of the Penn Central Railroad as his ticket into the big time and nimbly plucked options on Penn’s Hudson River Railroad yards, now the site of New York’s Convention Center, and its 59-year-old Commodore Hotel, now the Grand Hyatt.
The coup was in his persuading bankers to lent him $80,000,000 and in talking politicians into awarding him a $120,000,000 tax abatement.
Persuasion, hype and chutzpah thereafter defined the Trump style, welded to a scrupulous management technique.
In 1979,at the age of 33,he snapped up the Fifth Avenue site of the old Bonwit Teller for $20,000,000,won a $140,000,000 tax abatement and three years later finished Trump Tower, a 68-story dazzler that includes a six-story atrium and today draws 100,000 visitors daily, with residents such as Johnny Carson and Steven Spielberg.
Amassing a fortune his father never dreamed possible—a cash hoard of $900,000,000,a geyser of $50,000,000 a week from his hotel-casinos, assets thought to total 3.7 billion dollars—Trump soon became as captivated by mystique-making as by money-making.
As the snooty ads running around New York proclaimed,”Everything does seem to be very Trump these days.” There are his residential buildings, Trump Parc and Trump Plaza and the soon-to-be-finished Trump Palace; Trump Castle in Atlantic City and the soon-to-be-finished Taj Mahal; his book “Trump: The Art of the Deal,” written with Tony Schwartz, which held on to the number-one spot on the New York Times best-seller list longer than any business book since “Iocacca”;his high-rise board game named—you guessed it—Trump(reported to be flop);his upcoming TV game show—you guessed it again—“Trump Card”; and the bike race named Tour de Trump, which, as he points out, sure beats its old name—Tour de Jersey. And—well—you get the picture.
“Vision is my best asset,” he says without a shred of modesty, ”I know what sells and I know what people want.”
Along the way, Trump even found time to attend the 1976 Montreal Olympics, marry his match, Ivana Zelnicek (who has vowed never to look a day over 29),and produce his own little Trumps—Donald Jr,12,Ivanka,eight,and Eric, six.
Notwithstanding the good fortune that seems to have attended Trump’s business moves, he and his family have not escaped life’s darker side. While sisters Maryane, a Federal judge in New Jersey, and Elizabeth, an administrative assistant for Chase Manhattan, have found their niches, Trump’s older brother, Fred, hated the real-estate business, became an airline pilot, took to drink and died an alcoholic in 1981 at 43.
Trump was also recently shaken when, last October, three key executives died in a helicopter crash; the boss reportedly narrowly missed death, deciding at the last minute that he was too busy to travel. ”I never realized,” says Trump today, ”how deaths outside the family could have such a profound effect on me. It’s a tragic waste.” As for himself, he’s fatalistic: ”I work, I don’t worry and I protect myself as well as anybody can. But ultimately we all end up going to hopefully greener pastures.”
To check out his present-day pastures, we sent New York Daily News celebrity interviewer and syndicated columnist Glenn Plaskin to talk with him. This interview had long been in the works, including two earlier starts. But Plaskin finally got Trump to sit down with him over a period of nearly 16 weeks. His report:
“For our first session at Trump Tower, after being visually frisked by a troop of basketball-player-tall bodyguards, I entered the inner sanctum. There was Donald Trump, as he would be for most of our sessions, slumped behind the cinnamon-colored desk, slung comically low in his chair, clipping his fingernails.
“I think best this way,” he’d deadpan.
“As the weeks went by, I found I liked poking through the hooded dare-me eyes with rapid-fire changes of topic, watching for surprise. Often he parried with rehearsed answers, but we spent enough time together that we entered genuinely fresh territory. When I asked for his stand on abortion, he frowned, pouted and asked ne to turn the recorder off. He didn’t really have an option—what the hell was mine? It was a very human moment.
“Supervising his office like an exceedingly well-run vaudeville show, executive assistant Norma Foerderer would wander in with another gold-framed magazine cover to put up on his wall—or with a seven-pound cheesecake or a stuffed skunk. Trump would take calls during our interview—never for more than a few minutes—that invariably ended with, ”Ok, baby, you’re the greatest.” Then secretary Rhona Graff would walk in, bearing little yellow slips of paper announcing calls waiting: down-on-his-luck financier Adnan Khashoggi, asking to have lunch; a hotel executive, dickering to sell yet another big hotel……By the time Duchess Fergie called about borrowing his brand-new accident-proof helicopter, and Don Johnson to borrow his city-size yacht, I was dizzy.
“To get away from it all, we began our first session hovering above the East River in the cobalt Darth Vader helicopter. Donald Trump was strapped into taupe leather, good-naturedly hyping his empire below.”

[ROLEPLAY] I have seen the Future, you must believe.

Throughout Las Vegas, "Bane's Theme" from Batman was playing on repeat via loudspeakers installed to every building and every home
War Boys in modified Toyota Hilux trucks blazed down the Las Vegas strip as explosions and other random chaos continued throughout the once great and prosperous city of Vegas.
On the Las Vegas Eiffel Tower, flew the flag of the Holy American Empire while the War Band of Trump made up of Pikachu cosplayers, Cancer-ridden War Boys, and K-POP artists played the Trump National AnthemBane's Theme on repeat.
Despite the North Korean forces having died and the Based Brazilian Patriots having gone home (with their equipment), the War Boys and Loyal Based Patriot Americans still hadn't stopped partying. Brazilian Alcohol bottles littered the desert, remnants from before their planes took off for home.
A large pile of "casino chips" all the chips from all the casinos had been piled high within Ceasars Palace (Las vegas hotel), atop it sat the Throne of the God Emperor, and on that throne? Donald J. Trump - God Emperor of the Holy American Empire.
Donald J. Trump: What news from the Northern Realms?
Mike "Silver Fox" Pence: Sir, it appears as if the Republic has taken the Alamo, soon they will have reached the Valley of Fire.
Donald J. Trump: And of the south?
General Carson...Ben Carson: The South has all but fallen sir, the Joshua Tree has burned while they push beyond Kingman into the Mojave. The same stands true for Death Valley, and to our east the Hualapai.
Ceasars Palace stood quiet, the news silencing the chatter of the Court. Locked in Vegas, a gamblers dream, just not a dream today.
War-boy: The Scouts are back! They are Back!
A War-boy scout came running in, kneeling before the God Emperor.
War-boy Scout: Sire, I come bearing news.
BAM (The scout is hit by Mike Pence's fist.)
Mike Huckabee: You will address him as he is due.
War-boy Scout: Caesar of Caesars, Nobilissmus, Pater Patriae, Perpetuus, Pious Felix, Pontifex Maximus, Imperator, Dominus, Maximus Augustus, God-Emperor, Donald J. Trump, sire. I come bearing news.
Ajit Pai: Better. Better.
Donald J. Trump looked down upon the War-boy, DJT-nearly blind could barely make out the tanned orange skin of the war-boy before him, Trump's age now 96, was suffering. Unlike the Wrestlers in Canada such as Maxime Bernier and others who had access to substances to reduce aging, Trump had been in the age inducing job of warfare.
Donald J. Trump: What is the news my child...
War-boy Scout: Scouts at Charleston Peak have confirmed that the Pacific Republic has reached Pahrump. Our defenses remain strong at Mountain Springs but they are taking territory.
Ben Carson: Sire, we must take action!
Melania Trump: Husband...what will we do?
Mike "Silver Fox" Pence: Sir, your son, he calls for you.
Donald J. Trump: Barron? BARRON!
Barron Trump was still in Kelowna, but new hologram-telephone technologies had a physical representation of himself in the Ceasars Palace.
Donald J. Trump: Barron, how we've missed you. My son, when shall you return?
Barron Trump: Never father, for I have seen the future.
Donald J. Trump: But we can break you out, the CG don't stand a chance against my armies.
Barron Trump: Father, the CG could end you right now. Please, that is not how your story ends.
Donald J. Trump: My story?
Barron Trump: They showed me...they showed me the future.
Donald J. Trump: Enough about that! You aren't a time traveler! Are you off your meds again?
Barron Trump: You don't understand...father, it's glorious.
Donald J. Trump: Enough of this! Tell the CG I will see you returned.
Barron Trump: Father, I am staying here of my own free will. Your story is ending. Soon it will be over. But it is not the end of the Empire.
Donald J. Trump: What?
Barron Trump: The future, we rule. We rule the Empire, the Trump name survives.
Donald J. Trump: No, I will survive. I will lead my em...
Barron Trump: LOOK AROUND YOU! Surrounded on all sides! You have no other options! Please father, surrender yourself! End this.
Donald J. Trump: Of all the people to betray me...my own flesh and blood.
Barron Trump: Please!
Donald J. Trump: I will show you...I will show you my will to live.

On This Date In California Weather History (July 20)

2014: Strong thunderstorms produced flash flooding in Yosemite National Park over
the burn scar from the large Rim Fire that occurred during the summer of 2013.
Debris flows were reported along Granite Creek with around 2" of rain falling in a period of two hours; in fact, over 1.5" fell during the first hour!

2008: Outflow from intense monsoon activity over Arizona ignited strong early morning thunderstorms over the Coachella Valley and desert slopes over the San Jacinto and San Bernardino Mountains. Rain rates with the most intensestorms exceeded 1.25 inches in 30 minutes. Intense runoff resulted in a flash flood thatraced down Eagle Canyon, across Highway 111 and into Cathedral City. Debris consisting of rocks, a fence, mud, and tree limbs caused the closure of Highway 111 and damaged 20 homes.

2006: A thunderstorm tracked across the southwestern portion of Yosemite National Park during the afternoon hours knocking down trees and power lines at El Portal and as well as downing trees along the Wawona Highway. In the Kern County desert, a thunderstorm trekked through in the late afternoon hours causing trees and power lines to fall and even blowing out car windows.
1998: An easterly wave moving over Southern California helped to initiate rare thunderstorms along the San Diego County coast. The storms developed near Vista and moved south to La Jolla and Point Loma. Urban flooding was reported at Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. In addition, lightning strikes set several trees ablaze, struck a Clairemont home and knocked out power to 21,000 homes and businesses in Clairemont and Point Loma.

1998: Severe thunderstorms moved into the Las Vegas Valley and nearby Lake Mead bringing wind gusts in excess of 60 mph and heavy showers which dumped between 1.50" and 2.25" of rain overnight. Several marinas on Lake Mead suffered extensive wind damage and numerous roads were washed out. In the Las Vegas Valley, heavy rain and flooding produced the majority of damage. Major flooding began in the early morning of July 20 and kept washes filled for several hours with numerous swift water rescues performed during the period. One man apparently died of a heart attack while rescue personnel were trying to remove him from his car. Rapidly accumulating water and a clogged drainage system caused the roof of the Palace Station Hotel and Casino to collapse, causing millions of dollars in damage. A few hours later, the same hotel and casino caught fire when it was struck by lightning.
1996: Ben Lomond had a high temperature of 107° F.

1988: A severe thunderstorm developed along the Elsinore Convergence Zone in the Inland Empire. The storm produced a microburst in Perris that damaged or destroyed 3 sailplanes and 31 ultralights. Total damages exceeded $500,000.

1987: A rare cold air mass for mid-summer descended on the region starting on 7.18 and ending on 7.21 and broke numerous low temperature records. It was 39° F in Palomar Mountain, the lowest temperature on record for July. This also occurred two days previous on 7.18 and on the next day 7.21.
1979: Thunderstorms hit Southern California, especially hard in the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains. 1.92" of rain fell in Idyllwild and 1.29" fell in Borrego Springs, each the greatest daily amount on record for July. 2.5" of rain fell in Palm Springs, 1.1" fell in Palomar Mountain and 1.09" fell in Big Bear Lake. Around Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage a debris flow killed one and caused $7 million damage. Flash flooding hit hundreds of homes in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and La Quinta. Some residents were swept out of their homes during the night.
1974: A tornado slammed into the southwest side of Hemet. Winds were estimated at over 100 mph.
Three small planes and five gliders were destroyed. Several hangars sustained damage. One person was injured by flying glass from a shattered window. This same storm dropped 2.39" of rain on Hemet in one hour. .

1960: Paso Robles ties its all-time high of 115° F.
1956: A flash flood in northwest Reno, NV, destroyed homes and flooded businesses.
1931: Both Reno, NV, and Carson City, NV, recorded high temperatures of 106° F. Tahoe City registered its all-time record high temperature for the month of July with a reading of 93° F.
1915: An all-time high temperature of 115° F was recorded at Yosemite Valley at the National Park Headquarters (around 4,000 feet in elevation). This was the warmest day in a streak of 7 consecutive days of 110° F or better at Yosemite Valley that extended from July 19th through the 25th.

The Greatest Sport On Earth - A guide to the best fights in boxing history

Nothing beats a great fight. Not football, not soccer, not baseball. Want to put this to the test? If your neighbors were throwing down on your lawn during the Super Bowl, your living room would be empty before someone could shout out World Star.
What follows below is a comprehensive list of the greatest fights of all time. Not all fights are created equally. Some are here for different reasons. They will be labeled as such.
One thing you will learn is that great fights are always happening. If you like Rocky type of violence, you only need to tune into any card 3 hours early and watch young kids desperately try to make their names against veterans who are clinging onto their meek stance in the sport.
Let's get right into things:

The Classics

Below is a list of the generally agreed upon greatest fights. If you’re on the fence or brand new to boxing, this is the first list of fights you should look at. Below have stood the test of time. The events of the fights below leave a lasting impression. They never leave the mind. They require revisiting again and again because full appreciation of the brutality, of the artistry, of the drama cannot be drunk in just one gulp.

Note: I typically do not re-watch fights. I have a few that I do for sentimental reasons, but on the whole I don't watch fights more than once if I don't have to. I've provided some blurbs below from what I can remember of fights. As I remember more, I'll continue to add them in. Nearly all of these fights are on YouTube.

Heavyweight Brawls

Everyone loves a good heavyweight scrap, right? I can't be as detailed with the rest of the lists (you'll soon see why) so if one of these interests you, you're gonna have to do the googling yourself. Anyway, this is part of the fun of boxing anyway. Simply watching a brawl isn't always enough. There's nothing quite like watching a back and forth fight with some emotional investment or having something at stake in the fight. I recommend from here on out you research these fighters. You might spoil the result, but most of these fights stand alone. Even if you know the result they're nearly all exciting.
  • Ike Ibeabuchi vs David Tua
  • Lamon Brewster vs Siarhei Liakhovich
  • Michael Moorer vs Bert Cooper
  • Tommy Morrison vs Razor Rudduck
  • Tommy Morrison vs Joe Hipp
  • Ron Lyle vs Ernie Shavers
  • Lennox Lewis vs Vitali Klitschko
  • Derrick Jefferson vs Maurice Harris
  • Jumbo Cummings vs Frank Bruno

The 80s

It's going to be rare to find any of these fights in crystal clear HD, but I don't think it's necessary. Knockouts are knockouts.
  • Matthew Saad Muhammad vs Yaqui Lopez II (I can't remember where I read this, but someone said "You know a guy is guaranteed fireworks when his name is Yaqui.")
  • Freddie Pendleton vs Frankie Randall
  • Rocky Kelly vs Tony Brown
  • Bernardo Pinango vs Frankie Duarte
  • Michael Carbajal vs Will Grigsby
  • Art Jimmerson vs Lenny LaPaglia (There is very little defense in this one.)
  • Freddie Roach vs Tommy Cordova (Watching Freddie Roach fight will tell you all you need to know about how he trains.)
  • Bobby Chacon vs Cornelius Boza Edwards
  • Edwin Rosario vs Jose Luis Ramirez

The 90s

Okay, quality is steadily increasing.
  • Johnny Tapia vs Paulie Ayala (A lot of sites list this among the classics list at the very top. I'm not going to go that far because I like balance.)
  • Marco Antonio Barrera vs Kennedy McKinney (This is the first fight ever on HBO's Boxing After Dark. It's a highly tactical war.)
  • Pernell Whitaker vs Jose Luis Ramirez (Who said defense wasn't fun?)
  • Junior Jones vs Kennedy McKinney
  • Israel Vazquez vs Marcos Licona
  • Michael Carbajal vs Muanchai Kitikasem
  • Micky Ward vs Reggie Green (If we were going to put together a list of the fighters who went the farthest on heart alone, Micky Ward would be somewhere in the top 10)
  • Naseem Hamed vs Kevin Kelley (The Prince was a special fighter. You'll see why.)
  • Marlon Starling vs Maurice Blocker (significant for Roach vs Futch)
  • Arturo Gatti vs Wilson Rodriguez (Gatti is guaranteed entertainment. Here is another shining example of why you don't hook with a hooker.)
  • Jorge Arce vs Michael Carbajal
  • Oscar De La Hoya vs Shane Mosley (Two of the top pound-for-pound fighters get together and take turns putting a beating on the other guy. Oscar's jab was such a thing of beauty in the 90s that Mosley complains of back pain from his neck snapping back.)
  • Erik Morales vs Daniel Zaragoza
  • Oscar De La Hoya vs Fernando Vargas (Lots and lots of drama in this one. Wild crowd takes it over the top.)

The 00s

  • Juan Manuel Marquez vs Juan Diaz I (All-out, aggressive, face-first offense walks into one of the greatest counter-punchers of all time. Guess what happens...)
  • Manny Pacquiao vs Erik Morales I & II (Before he became Manny Pacquiao, he had to go to school somewhere.)
  • Marco Antonio Rubio vs Enrique Ornelas (Traditional Mexican style war)
  • Silence Mabuza vs Yonnhy Perez
  • Fernando Montiel vs Luis Melendez (Montiel used to be a bad little man)
  • Roman Martinez vs Daniel Jimenez
  • Joe Calzaghe vs Mikkel Kessler (Fantastic fight featuring an established champion and a young up-and-comer)
  • Adonis Stevenson vs Anthony Bonsante
  • Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam vs Would Guarras
  • Bernard Hopkins vs Felix Trinidad (You've got to read about the build-up around the fight. This was one of the first sporting events after September 11.)
  • Carl Thompson vs Sebastiaan Rothmann
  • Luis Concepcion vs Hernan Marquez II (This is what happens when you mix gasoline and fire)
  • Giovani Segura vs Ivan Calderon I (All-out offense vs a defensive master.)
  • Giovani Segura vs Hernan Marquez (All-out offense vs all-out offense)
  • Giovanni Segura vs Cesar Chinchilla I (All-out offensive vs more offense)
  • Rogers Mtagwa vs Artom Simony
  • John Duddy vs Yori Boy Campas
  • Carl Thompson vs Ezra Sellers
  • Alex Stewart vs Ezra Sellers
  • Micky Ward vs Emanuel Augustus (An absolute must-watch. It probably could qualify as a classic. If you're a new fan, these fighters are required watches.)
  • Alex Arthur vs Michael Gomez (This is a wild fight with an even crazier crowd. The atmosphere is truly special.)
  • Paul Samuels vs Cello Renda I
  • Satoshi Hosono vs Hiroyuki Enoki
  • Tomas Villa vs Rogers Mtgawa
  • Daniel Edouard vs Willie Gibbs
  • Kelly Pavlik vs Jermain Taylor (The emergence of a monster dismantles the boxer.)
  • James Toney vs Vassiliy Jirov (The counter punching master revival)
  • Carl Froch vs Jean Pascal (This is a brutal fight between two guys looking to make a name.)
  • Felix Trinidad vs Fernando Vargas (The Puerto Rican superstar controversial stops a Mexican warrior)
  • Felix Trinidad vs Ricardo Mayorga (The Puerto Rican superstar gets his chance to shut Mayorga's mouth up.)
  • Antonio Margarito vs Miguel Cotto (One of the most controversial and bloody fights in recent memory.)
  • Joel Casamayor vs Michael Katsidis (Katsidis knows one thing and he knows it well.)
  • Graham Earl vs Michael Katsidis (This is a Katsidis fight so you know what to expect.)
  • Carl Froch vs Jermain Taylor (A dramatic fight with a big finish.)

2010 to Now

  • Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams I (Two of the most avoided fighters in boxing meet since nobody else would fight them. The result is magical.)
  • Tim Bradley vs Ruslan Provodnikov (A dramatic and brutal fight between two of the toughest warriors in the sport.)
  • Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez IV (The conclusion to their epic series is the best installment of the series.)
  • Orlando Salido vs Juan Manuel Lopez (Mexico vs Puerto Rico does it again.)
  • Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarado I (Not much technical boxing going on here. Just a classic slugfest.)
  • Marcos Maidana vs Victor Ortiz (Nobody deserves to take a beating like these guys took.)
  • Orlando Salido vs Terdsak Kokietgym (I lost count of the knockdowns.)
  • Francisco Rodriguez Jr vs Katsunari Takayama (Takayama only knows how to fight like his life is on the line.)
  • Mike Alvarado vs Breidis Prescott (A brutal fight.)
  • Marcos Madiana vs Josesito Lopez (Another classic slugfest from Maidana.)
  • Marco Huck vs Krzysztof Glowacki (A long reigning champion meets a young hungry lion.)
  • Adrien Broner vs Marcos Maidana (Adrien Broner stands toe-to-toe with Marcos Maidana. The winner earns a shot at Floyd Mayweather.)
  • Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler I & II (Two elite super middleweights have a pair of classic wars.)
  • Lucas Matthysse vs John Molina (Molina tells everyone he's not afraid of Matthysse and has power of his own. Then the bell rings.)
  • Erik Morales vs Marcos Maidana (A throwback performance from a legendary Mexican warrior against one of the hardest punchers in the sport.)
  • Victor Ortiz vs Josesito Lopez (Ortiz brings offense. Lopez brings more.)
  • Tommy Coyle vs Daniel Brizuela (A wild back and forth fight with enough knockdowns for this entire list.)
  • Victor Ortiz vs Andre Berto ("Oh my god!")
  • Terence Crawford vs Yuriorkis Gamboa (Two elite boxers meet for a wild back-and-forth fight.)
  • Orlando Salido vs Roman Martinez I (Mexico vs Puerto Rico. Enough said.)
  • Chris John vs Daud Yordan (The long reigning paper champion of Indonesia loses some years off his career.)
  • Derry Mathews vs Tommy Coyle (A wild fight.)
  • Omar Figueroa vs Nihito Arakawa (There is literally no defense in this fight.)
  • Robert Guerrero vs Yoshihiro Kamegai (See above.)

(LONG) The Ultimate Trip Report: 7.5 Action-Packed Days in Mid-October. Lots of Budget-Friendly Activities!

Just returned from the most epic week in Las Vegas with my husband! We budgeted about $1000 per person for the week, all expenses included. We went over by a couple hundred in the end. We planned a lot of activities and sightseeing in advance to avoid gambling too much out of boredom. We weren't very lucky at anything except blackjack, but we were able to leave Vegas at only $40 in the hole between the two us, which I consider a moderate success! And we weren't bored for a minute!
Day 1 (Wed 10/19)
Day 2 (Thurs 10/20)
Day 3 (Fri 10/21)
Day 4 (10/22)
Day 5 (Sun 10/23)
Day 6 (Mon 10/24)
Day 7 (Tues 10/25)
Day 8 (Wed 10/26)
Thanks for reading! I might try to come back and add some pictures and links here as I get the chance. Feel free to ask me about anything we did!

Donald Trumps Uncle was the MIT electrical genius who inspected Tesla's secret papers after Teslas death which were rumored to have time travel, alien communication and a deathray beam secrets.

John G Trump is Donald Trumps Uncle and was the guy who examined Teslas papers at Teslas death! Trump was at MIT working on all types of radiation and atomic stuff! He died in 1985 the year Back to the Future was released . http://www.nytimes.com/1985/02/26/us/john-trump-dies-engineer-was-78.html
From the tesla wikipedia page
At http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla
Quote
Tesla's entire estate from the Hotel New Yorker and other New York City hotels was transported to the Manhattan Storage and Warehouse Company under the Office of Alien Property (OAP) seal.[25] John G. Trump, a professor at M.I.T. and a well-known electrical engineer serving as a technical aide to the National Defense Research Committee, was called in to analyze the Tesla items in OAP custody.[25] After a three-day investigation, Trump's report concluded that there was nothing which would constitute a hazard in unfriendly hands, stating:
[Tesla's] thoughts and efforts during at least the past 15 years were primarily of a speculative, philosophical, and somewhat promotional character often concerned with the production and wireless transmission of power; but did not include new, sound, workable principles or methods for realizing such results.[155]
In a box purported to contain a part of Tesla's "death ray", Trump found a 45-year-old multidecade resistance box.[156]
By the way Donald Trumps dad is tied to Nikola Tesla in a http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ElO5W7iEW8c youtube documentary i just happened to stumble on while searching for Trump news after having searched for Tesla previously and not erasing the search box. Tesla was heavily into some alien quantum communication claims and if Trumps dad knew him then Trump might have had some future knowledge that helped him get rich. Remember in the Back to the Future movies (which have some weird 9/11 references as discussed here https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/3nemq8/back_to_the_future_predicted_911/ ) Biff is a real estare casino owning mogul who makes a fortune in the future because he has the book that shows info from the future. Is Trump mentioned by name in the movies somehow? Very strange.
Ok here is fhe description section under the youtube vidoe.

John G Trump is Donald Trumps uncle
The alien office doesnt mean outerspace. It means immigrant although Tesla DID claim he could communicate with space beings with his equipment.
By the way trumps uncle worked in the same field of high voltage electrostatics were others like tt brown in california in the 60's had already used to make disks fly witbout combustion motors and ehere he claimed to have been able to distort time. Season 6 Nevada State Prison Casino Theory

Note: I am updating if I think of new ideas. Updated 29.02.16
I have been looking at clues for S6 in AHS Hotel and I think the setting for next season may be based on Nevada State Prison. Prison has been a popular fan theory and has been hinted at since S1, where RM says we can find clues for S6. See my comment below about prison references in S1.
I think that being set in Nevada the season would have a Western feel and we may see Native American Reservations and their casinos.
Here is some of the evidence I found to support my theory:
PRISON REFERENCES In Hotel Tristan states that he spent time in prison. He later says he lied about this but he has his reasons. Are those reasons the writers giving us a clue to S6?
Are those trapped hands in the titles a clue to S6 as well as hinting at things to come in S5?
The Swedish girls in episode 1 are excited about going on the Fast and Furious ride. The main character in the film is an escaped convict. The girls themselves soon find themselves imprisoned.
Remember in Asylum when they played I put a spell on you and it was a clue to coven? Well. I think it was in episode 1 of Hotel they played Hotel California and the lyrics: we are all just prisoners here.
When Mr. March kills Miss Evers she describes herself as his last meal which is what a condemned man gets to eat. I think we may be seeing executions in S6.
The scene where Sally tries to help Iris commit suicide is reminiscent of execution by hanging. Sally places a bag over Iris's and then a noose round her neck.
Also a number of charcters spend time imprisoned within the corridors of the Cortez. Could this be a foreshadowing of S6 like Vivien being committed to the Asylum hinted at S2 setting?
The books that Liz gives to Tristan are Oscar Wilde who was imprisoned for homosexuality, at the time illegal and Emily Bronte who wrote a poem called the prisoner.
When Marcy is showing Will and Lachlan the hotel. Lachlan is throwing a ball in a similar way to the famous scene from the film The Great Escape.
In Devil's Night it is stated that Manson cannot attend because he is still alive and serving time in state prison. Mr. March introduces the murderers to John and he explains how each one died in prison. This also includes executions. So we have cult and prison references.
I may be clutching at straws here but I have noticed a number of bird references in Hotel. Are these references to jailbirds? Escaped convicts? Could there possibly be a creepy homage to the Birdman of Alcatraz?
Also in the TV series The Prisoner the main character is known as number 6. Number 6 - season 6 maybe?
GAMBLING REFERENCES The name of the hotel may suggest a casino theme. The El Cortez in Vegas is the longest continuously running hotel and Casino.
In the 1995 film Casino Sharon Stone's character's surname is Mckenna. We learn this is also Sally's surname.
There also seem to be a lot of references to cards and card games. You can't have missed the ace of spades references and there are giant cards displayed in the school. The Countess says she was the queen of disco as she rides through the club on a horse. More on horses later. Could Queenie have been seen in the finale as her name is a link to the theme? She's also there for the price is right, possible casino link? Could Ramona Royale's name hint to Casino Royale? Or a royal flush? Also Elizabeth Taylor starred in several films about gambling and we have a hotel character who is her namesake. Could we see GaGa's poker face next season?
POSSIBLE LINK TO NEVADA Having recently read that Nevada State Prison used to house a casino these clues seem to link together. I'm thinking that the prison setting could be based on the Nevada prison like the Cortez is based on the Hotel Cecil. The prison has only recently closed and is still used for executions. Past executions at the prison included hangings, firing squads and gas chambers. A prison theme would fit in with the modern timeline with flashbacks that has been announced. The prisoners could still be involved in illegal gambling in modern times with flashbacks to the legal prison casino and past executions.
Iris uses sage to cleanse the hotel. Sage is associated with Nevada and appears on the state flag.
CARSON CITY LOCATION AND COWBOYS The original warden of the prison was Abraham Curry and he and other ghosts are said to still haunt Carson City including the ranch near the prison. This could fit in with those Thacher school references in the finale as the boarding school is situated on a ranch and students take equestrian studies. There is currently a wild horse taming programme for low security prisoners in Nevada. Wild horses and bears also referred to are found in the area. Horses also link in with the gambling theme.
Back to the hotel name again Cortez the killer was a song by Neil Young and his band The Crazy Horse which links in with those Thacher references.
In the season finale Iris calls Drake a cowboy. She has previously referred to John in the same way. In the same scene she talks about 2 football teams from Carson checking in to the hotel.
Horses have been mentioned in other seasons. When Kit goes home in S2 he randomly tells Grace they should get a horse. In S4 Dandy has a horse figure in his play room and Ma Petite says she would like a pony.
In the late 1870s prisoners working at the quarry in Carson City discovered large fossilised foot prints. This could lead to a mystery creature theme.
GOLD RUSH Another possible link could be the references to gold and adventurers throughout the season. Gold prospectors were attracted to the area. There is also a myth that in the 1860's a stagecoach carrying gold bullion to the mint was robbed in Carson city. The armed gunmen escaped with the gold. All of the thieves were killed in a gun battle except Manuel Gonzales who was sentenced to 20 years in the prison. He remarked he could see where the treasure was buried from his window. Gonzales died before he could recover the treasure. The treasure has never been found, probably because the story is untrue, but it could provide an interesting subplot. When Gonzales is released and goes to retrieve the treasure after years of waiting, he is killed by whatever left the footprints or he actually gets the treasure but is then killed by the ghosts of the other jealous gunmen?
In the finale Mr. March talks about being the Captain of the ship and calls the other ghosts mateys. Could he be making a treasure seeking pirate reference? Is the Blue Parrot lounge another pirate reference? Max, the boy with measles is also seen wearing a pirate costume.
Maybe the prison could be set on an Alcatraz style island and that is where those water references tie in. There could be a light house on the island and we could get a homage to the film The Fog.
EGYPTIAN GODDESS Another possible link to the Nevada area is Sekhmet the Egyptian goddess. (Bare with me.) She has a lion's head. In the trophy room there is a scene where the lion's head is centre of the frame. The Temple of Goddess Spirituality connected to Sekhmet is in Nevada. Could also tie to references of Liz Taylor as Cleopatra. The Countess calls her a goddess. We could see murders being committed as sacrifice to the goddess. Iris speaks of the sacrifices she has made as a mother and Sally says killing can be righteous. Mr. March mentions libations when they drinking on Devil's Night and he calls the man they murder a sacrifice.
A prison setting could also include some of those cult themes that have been hinted at. There seems to be plenty of real life material here that S6 could draw on as well as many prison, Western and casino films that could be used as inspiration.
I was thinking that a good film to play homage to in a prison season would be The Green Mile. I Googled this as it's been a while since I saw the film and was interested to see that the Asylum in the film is called Briar ridge. Sound familiar? Also there is a mouse that's gets healed and gets longevity. The Countess is referred to as little mouse in Hotel. Incidentally, the movie Top Hat, the clue to the hotel season in S4 is referenced in this film.
LINKS TO FREAK SHOW A link to this theme from Freak Show could be Dandy Mott. The plot of the novel Mott the Hoople involves a freak show, prisons and gambling. Freak show also includes lots of references to the wizard of Oz. Could these be a clue to the TV prison series Oz?
Freak show also made reference to the electric chair a few times.
A link to the Nevada area from Freak Show is that Massimo says that he was building villages for atomic bomb testing in the Nevada dessert.
There were also a few Western references in Freak show. For example the bar Del and Stanley go to was called High Noon.
So in summary convicts, executions, cowboys, card sharps, sacrifices and goddesses. I think it could happen.
